There is no Betano welcome bonus in Belgium, and there cannot be one: since 1 September 2024, Belgian-licensed casinos are banned from offering welcome bonuses, free spins, deposit matches or no-deposit offers. Betano goes even further and states it offers no personalised rewards in Belgium. What you get instead is a set of missions, sports promotions and a progressive jackpot you will not find anywhere else in the country. Here is the real list, and whether it is worth signing up.
Why you will not find a Betano bonus code for Belgium
Search for ‘Betano bonus Belgium’ and you will still find pages promising a welcome package. Ignore them. Under the law of 18 February 2024, every operator with a Belgian licence lost the right to offer bonuses on 1 September 2024. Before that date, bonuses were already capped at €275 per month; now they are simply gone. The same reform raised the minimum age for online gambling to 21.
Betano is licensed in Belgium, so it follows the rule. Its casino runs under A+20000 via VIAGE (the Grand Casino Brussels), and its sportsbook under F1+ 116777, both held by Casinos Austria International Belgium NV (CAIB) in partnership with Kaizen Gaming, the company behind Betano. On top of that, the Betano help centre states that personalised rewards are not available in Belgium because of the Gaming Commission rules. So any ‘Betano welcome bonus’ you see advertised to Belgian players is either outdated or not from the licensed Belgian site. For the wider picture, our page on casino bonuses in Belgium explains what is still allowed.

The real highlight: the Golden Coins Link jackpot
If you are a casino player, the reason to pick Betano is not a promotion at all, it is a jackpot. Betano is the first and only operator in Belgium to offer Amusnet’s Golden Coins Link progressive jackpot. It runs across five slots: 40 Power Hot, Art of Gold, 40 Bulky Fruits, 100 Bulky Fruits and 40 Extra Crown. If you like classic fruit-style slots with a progressive layer on top, you will not find this network at any other Belgian site.
Beyond that, the casino features games from Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Evolution, Amusnet and MGA Games, a dice games section and a handful of titles Betano describes as exclusive to its site. No official game count is published, so I will not invent one. In my view, the catalogue is smaller in breadth than the giants, but it covers the essentials and the jackpot is a true differentiator.
Missions and Super Odds: are they worth anything?
Betano Missions are opt-in challenges: you choose to join, complete the task, and collect the reward. They are the closest thing to a promotion a Belgian casino can run today, and they work because you decide whether to play along.
On the sports side, Super Odds give you enhanced prices on big matches, and sports tournaments put you on a leaderboard with prizes for the top spots. Add Extra Bets, Bet Builder, cash-out and Golden Sub, and the sportsbook is genuinely well equipped. One thing to know: casino and sportsbook use separate accounts and balances, so money won on football does not appear in your casino wallet automatically.
How does that compare? Unibet runs Drops and Wins with up to €3,000 a day, as our Unibet review explains. Starcasino has a full loyalty shop with Starcoins, covered in the Starcasino review. And Napoleon Games pays 5–12% cashback on net losses, detailed in our Napoleon Games review. Betano’s offer is lighter on loyalty, heavier on sports features.
Deposits from €5, and one licence question
Betano makes it easy to start small: €5 minimum with a debit card, a Bancontact card or Apple Pay, €10 via Bancontact Mobile. You can also pay with Payconiq (now Bancontact Pay), PayPal, Skrill and Neteller, while bank transfer is used for withdrawals. Withdrawals are processed within 24 hours, then it is up to your bank, and IBAN verification is instant via Nuvei. Registration works with itsme. If you are on iPhone, our Apple Pay casinos guide shows how fast a €5 deposit can be.
Now the point few sites mention. Betano’s A+20000 licence is tied to the Brussels casino concession (VIAGE), which expires on 31 December 2026 and has been re-tendered. CAIB has applied for renewal, and Napoleon Games is set to take over the Grand Casino Brussels from 1 January 2027. What that means for Betano’s online casino from 2027 is not yet public. Customer service is also limited to 10:00–18:00 daily according to the help centre, and the casino app is rated 3.4/5 on the Belgian App Store. Full details in the complete Betano review.
Verdict: no bonus, but still a reason to sign up
So what do you really get from Betano in Belgium? No welcome bonus, no free spins and no personalised rewards, but an exclusive progressive jackpot, opt-in missions and one of the best-equipped sportsbooks on the market, with deposits from €5. It sits eighth in our ranking with 4.5/5. My advice: if you bet on sports and enjoy classic slots, sign up at Betano with itsme, deposit €5 via Bancontact or Apple Pay, and give the Golden Coins Link slots a spin.
