PokerStars bonus in Belgium: poker only, and no welcome package

Poker only: what PokerStars can and cannot offer in Belgium

PokerStars was one of the first brands licensed online in Belgium, with a full licence from February 2012 via the Casino de Namur (A+ 20635), plus a class E licence (E121495) for REEL Europe Ltd as platform provider. The brand belongs to Flutter Entertainment.

But here is the key point for anyone searching "PokerStars casino bonus": the official .be list of games available in this jurisdiction contains only poker. PokerStars Casino is not offered to Belgian players, and neither is sports betting. So any casino free spins offer you see belongs to another country's site.

On top of that, the Belgian bonus ban applies since 1 September 2024: no welcome bonus, no deposit bonus, no free play, no no-deposit gift, and no promo code that unlocks one. Before the ban, bonuses were capped at €275 a month.

What Belgian poker players do get

• Online satellites to the PokerStars Open Namur, from €1.10. The live festival at the Circus Casino Resort Namur had a €1M guaranteed Main Event in 2026. Turning €1.10 into a seat at that table is the best value PokerStars offers Belgians, by far.
• Poker promotions and the PokerStars Store ("Boutique") on the .be site.
• Stars Rewards and StarsCoin loyalty, as seen on pokerstars.be in 2024.

And the game range itself is a big draw: around 35 poker formats, including Hold'em, Omaha variants, Stud, Razz, Spin & Go, Zoom and mixed games like 8-Game and HORSE. Belgian players sit in the shared international player pool, so tables are always running.

Is a satellite better than an old welcome bonus? For a poker player, absolutely. A deposit match usually came with rake requirements to release it. A satellite seat is a direct route to a live event worth far more than your buy-in.

Deposits: almost every Belgian method

PokerStars has one of the longest payment lists in Belgium: Bancontact, Payconiq (now Bancontact Pay, deposit only), Visa and Mastercard Debit, Maestro, Apple Pay, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard, Neosurf, Rapid Transfer, Sofort, instant bank transfer and bank transfer. Minimum deposit is 10 in your account currency unless a method says otherwise. Check our Bancontact casino guide for how Bancontact deposits work across Belgian sites.

The site comes in French, Dutch, English and German versions, and an iOS app lets you play your satellites on the go. The standard Belgian deposit limit of €200 per week per site applies by default, and it can be raised to €500 on request.

Want casino games? Go to Circus

My advice is simple. For poker, PokerStars is the reference: sign up and grab a €1.10 satellite to Namur. For slots, live roulette or blackjack, open an account at Circus Casino, which runs its online casino on the same Casino de Namur A+ licence and offers 8,000+ slots.
